Un equipo de trabajo del CIAT encabezado por el dr. Patrick Lavelle, especialista en macrofauna del suelo, visitó varias fincas de la Altillanura colombiana con el ánimo de difundir conocimiento entre los productores de la región a partir de los resultados de las pruebas físicas, químicas y biológicas (macrofauna y gases de efecto invernadero), obtenidos en el proyecto “escenarios para el manejo eco-eficiente del territorio” que hace parte del convenio MADR-CORPOICA-CIAT para el desarrollo sostenible y competitivo de la Orinoquia colombiana.

En la foto vemos un aspecto de la reunión sostenida en la finca Andremoni, donde también se expuso uno de los objetivos del proyecto para este año: identificar el manejo agronómico que se hace actualmente en los predios y la forma como éste afecta a las fuentes de agua cercanas a los sistemas de producción.

A CIAT working group headed by Dr. Patrick Lavelle, a soil macrofauna specialist, visited some farms of the Colombian Altillanura. The visit aimed at facilitating knowledge exchange among producers of the region of the results of the physical, chemical and biological test (macrofauna and greenhouse gases) results obtained in the “scenarios for the eco-efficient management of the territory” project, which makes part of the MADR-CORPOICA-CIAT agreement for the sustainable and competitive development of the Colombian Orinoquia.

In the photo we see an aspect of the meeting held in the farm Andremoni, where one of the main objectives of the project for this year was also presented: identification of  current agronomic management practices and the way that these affect water sources close to the production systems.
